Every programme starts with the cut, and every trade after us inherits whatever we leave. We strip, cut and cart to the levels on the drawings — then prove it, so your slab crew walks onto a pad they can pour on, not an argument.
Tight-access residential blocks through to broadacre site strips: the machines are matched to the access, the spoil is carted to licensed facilities, and the programme window you give us is the one we hold.
Levels you can pour on
A cut that is 40mm out becomes a concrete variation at ten times the price. We set out from the survey, cut to tolerance, and hand over levels a certifier will sign. When rock or reactive clay changes the ground truth mid-dig, you hear about it the same day with a priced option — not at invoice time.
Adelaide's soils move from sand over limestone to high-plasticity clays inside a single council area. Machine selection, batter angles and compaction all follow the ground, which is why we walk the site before we price it.
Access decides the machine
A 1.7-tonne machine through an 850mm gate, or a 5-tonne with a full bucket where the access allows it — the fleet covers the spread, and the quote names the machine so you know what is turning up. Cart-off is priced per load with tip fees stated, never discovered.
Straight answers
Do you certify finished levels?
Yes — final levels are checked against the design and we provide documentation your certifier and slab contractor can rely on.
What happens if you hit rock?
We stop, price the change with you the same day, and only proceed on approval. Rock is priced as a variation with evidence, never absorbed into a mystery invoice.
Can you work tight-access blocks?
Yes — tight-access excavation is core work: courtyard digs, rear extensions and battle-axe blocks with machines sized to the gate.
